Nothing gives me the ick in the dating scene more than when someone tells me they don’t read. Usually, it is in response to me informing them that I run and work for a newspaper. When a suitor confidently tells me “I don’t read” I respond, “That’s a red flag.”

Giving up is the most important thing a student will learn. As college students, our workload increases a lot from high school and we lack the constant support we once had for turning in assignments not only on time but actually well done.

Although I absolutely love my journalism classes, I will admit that my Spanish class is my favorite class to attend. Not that the people there are that enjoyable, but the language itself makes me feel proud that I’m even in the class to begin with.
