UCA’s Reynolds Performance Hall announces over 20 events for the 2022-23 season. Entertainment includes “Spamilton: An American Parody,” Blue Man Group, Amy Grant, speaker Steve Burns and more.
“We are thrilled to offer so many entertaining and uplifting performances this year after dealing with the burden of the pandemic over the last two seasons. Our audience can expect to come back to Reynolds and experience shows such as ‘A Charlie Brown Christmans’that will warm the heart, Preacher Lawson who will tickle their funny bone, and ‘R.E.S.P.E.C.T’ that will have them dancing in their seats,” Director of Reynolds Performance Hall, Amanda Horton said.
The season begins on Sept. 17 with “Spamilton: An American Parody,” created by Gerard Alessandrini. The musical is a parody of “Hamilton” performed by a cast of eight.
Other Broadway shows include “Anastasia” on Nov. 19, “On Your Feet!” on Feb. 5 and “Blue Man Group” on Feb. 8.

The events are broken up into six different categories. The Broadway Series presents theatrical shows such as musicals and plays. Pops include popular music in various genres.
Night Out is an eclectic series that is made up of shows that may not fit in any of the other categories.
Mainstage events are educational for students in Pre-K-12th grade. Benefits are shows that run fundraisers for the Main Stage Education Series. The staff at Reynolds Performance Hall are put in charge of raising programming funds for the series.
The speakers category are lectures from expert speakers.
“Many of our students have never seen professional touring artists perform or even been in a theatre. UCA knows the importance of exposing students to the arts and through events held at Reynolds Performance Hall, provides great artistic experiences right here on campus,” Director of Marketing and Finance for Reynolds Performance Hall, Wendy Sparks said.
Season ticket renewals go through June 17 and new season ticket sales start June 20. Single ticket sales start July 25.
Season tickets for the Broadway series, Night Out series and Pops series each range from $55-$80. Season tickets for the Performing Arts Package, which includes all three series, range from $155-$230. Individual tickets cost between $23-$33.
UCA faculty and staff receive discounts on season tickets and single tickets. During a season, students receive up to two free tickets for eight different shows and all other tickets are only $10 each.
“Reynolds Performance Hall values the opportunity of providing exceptional performing arts for our community. Through professional entertaining events as well as educational opportunities, we provide a place for our community and others, including children and students, to experience live arts in an affordable and enjoyable way right here in Conway,” Sparks said.
